Until this day, I was very over due for an eye exam. It had been over four years since I had my eyes looked at, and I’m so glad that I went. With my Graves’ Disease, my vision has been negatively affected. I mostly need glasses just for far distances and driving. But, when you do have the right prescription it makes ALL the difference, even if it’s minor.
Eye exams are one of those yearly routines I never really wanted to make a habit. I’m fortunate enough to have a minor prescription, but taking care of your eyes is SO important for your health. Last week I got the chance to get my eye exam by one of my best friends, Dr. Volland at EYE EYE in Capitol Hill, Seattle. If you’re in Seattle and looking for a place to get the coolest frames and be taken care of, I HIGHLY recommend stopping by EYE EYE.
One of the reasons why I love EYE EYE so much, is that they have one of the coolest selections of frames to choose from. They carry a wide variety of opticals and sunglasses, and anyone can find a pair that work for their style. They have the prettiest curated selection of vintage frames, and independent designers. Since I work in the fashion industry, I’ve always wanted a pair of frames that make a statement that aren’t just the “basic” every day frames. Now don’t get me wrong, I love a good basic, staple piece. BUT since my previous frames weren’t anything exciting, I wanted the perfect pair of glasses that make any outfit look chic and that stand out. At EYE EYE they have SO many beautiful frames that do that.
When I arrived, we first did my eye exam and immediately after I had fun trying on so many different frames trying to find the perfect ones. Scroll down below to see all the images!
I ended up choosing these two frames below! I got a pair of vintage Valentino gold frames that I’m obsessed with. And then for sunglasses I got a pair of beautiful Christian Roth frames. I’m just happy that I have a pair of glasses that I love and that I can wear every day!
