Thanksgiving is here, and so is the holiday season. This is my favorite time of the year, not only for the decor, food, parties, spending time with family, but also creating new traditions. My best friend Mel and I are away from family this Thanksgiving, and this year we are creating new traditions. The mountains are a place where we go to escape, get away from the city, and soak in the outdoors. But this time we wanted to reflect on everything we're thankful for. We've partnered with Express and showing our festive Friendsgiving tradition up in the mountains!
We decided to drive up to our favorite spot over by Mount Baldy, CA. We captured the day with our polaroid cameras, and brought treats to share with an amazing mountain view. This new holiday tradition is one I will always look forward to sharing with her and my husband Cory.
Cozy sweaters and metallic pieces are my go-to's for the holiday season. For this look, I'm wearing the Shaker Knit Funnel Neck Pullover sweater in red, the High Waisted Lace-Up Side Ankle Leggings, the Metallic Fold-Down Loafer, and the Metallic Pom Beanie. This look is perfect for a casual holiday gathering or Friendsgiving. The metallic beanie and shoes add sparkle to the everyday sweater. The lace-up sides on the denim add an edgy detail to the denim and would be perfect to pair with a leather jacket and black booties.
Tis' the season to spend time and create unexpected traditions with your family and friends. Creating traditions aren't about having a routine every year. It's about being able to create unforgettable memories and spend quality time with the ones you loves. Thanksgiving is a time to reflect and look at all the things you are thankful for, in the good and bad. I'm so thankful for this friendship with Mel and that we get to spend the holidays together with my husband, Cory. Thank you Express for making this tradition cozy, special and memorable.
