Who else loves snow days?!
Last week, we got hit pretty hard with snow. Usually once or twice a year the city gets hit with a little dusting of snow, and we definitely got hit with more snow than we expected. It also got VERY cold for us. The lowest it got was 11 degrees… I don’t even know how that was even real life. That NEVER happens. But despite the cold, it was such a beautiful couple days and was unforgettable.
There’s something so beautiful about the snow. The way it falls, the way it glistens in the sunlight, the crunchy sound it makes when you walk on it, the way it brightens everything up, and how it can transform a basic neighborhood into something beautiful. I look at it as the frosting of mother nature. It just makes everything look magical and almost like you’re in a story book. Yes, it’s definitely cold but if you’re bundled up and have the right footwear, it’s actually very enjoyable.
Now, this outfit wasn’t something I was going to wear around in the snow all day (let’s be real here), but it was perfect for the scenery. For this look I’m wearing my Max Mara coat that I thrifted… yes. I thrifted it for $20. I’m OBSESSED with this oversized coat and it’s so beautiful. Every time I wear it I still can’t believe that I found it at a thrift store for $20. It’s basically brand new and doesn’t even feel like it’s been worn. This was definitely one of my craziest finds and I will never get rid of this piece. It reminds me of a Jedi coat.
With the coat I’m wearing a cashmere Madewell sweater, some vintage jeans I thrifted, a beanie from Everlane, Sunday Somewhere sunglasses, and some Jeffrey Campbell rain booties. Make sure to shop the look below!
