T G I F

I’m currently sitting in a coffee shop, writing this blog post, and I’ve come to realize that I get my thyroidectomy in less than 10 days. My nervousness has gone from a 5 to a 10. I know that it’s going to be alright, just hoping my recovery won’t take long. One of the things I’m most happy about is that is that I’ll most likely feel better, and my neck back to it’s normal size. Yeah, I’m going to probably have a gnarly scar on my neck, but it’s just going to be a part of my story. I’ll be sharing a blog post and possibly a video after my surgery talking about my recovery process.

This past month has flown by. I can’t believe that October is only a few days away. August and September were probably the busiest months for me this year. Weddings, shooting a wedding, friends coming into town, dealing with my health issues, and preparing for my surgery. Just thank God it’s Friday, seriously. This week has been a whirlwind and I’m ready to have a chill weekend! Are any of you doing anything fun this weekend?

Now, let’s talk about this outfit! As a lot of you know, I’ve been thrifting a lot recently. I’ve been able to find some of the most interesting and fun pieces for my wardrobe, and this zebra jacket is one of them. This is a silk zebra jacket from the 80’s (I had to take the shoulder pads out). I love that it’s cropped, and I can wear it in so many different ways. As I’ve mentioned before, animal print is one of the biggest trends for fall. So obviously I was pumped that this jacket was only $1… One of the biggest questions I’ve been getting recently is, “Where do you go thrifting?”. I shop at a variety of different places, but most of them are different Value Villages and Goodwills around the Seattle area. You just have to be patient and look through everything. You never know what you’ll find!

With the jacket, I’m wearing some trousers from Zara, a cropped tee, my Dior sunglasses, my Strathberry bag, and my classic white Vans I’ve been living in. Make sure to shop the look below!
