Happy Tuesday! Hope you all are having a great summer.
Cory and I did a road trip up to Seattle a few weeks ago, and on our way back down to LA we stopped off at a location I've been wanting to see for a while... Trillium Lake by Mt Hood in Oregon. This was one of the prettiest sunrises I've ever seen. All of these photos were shot on my iPhone 7 Plus. SO crazy to see what that phone can capture. Kind of hard to take a bad photo though with an amazing location, right? We got to the lake around 5:30am, and it was the perfect timing. The fog was starting to clear up so you could see Mt Hood, but you were getting these beautiful colors coming through.
Sunrise is my favorite to capture vs sunset. I love the quiet, still, and tranquil moments sunrise brings. I love being able to capture and witness the earth waking up. It's worth the loss of sleep for sure. Especially when you see moments like this one. I feel like photos can't capture how beautiful it actually was. If you ever get the chance to see this place at sunrise, do it. With or without the fog, it's beautiful.
